    Goal!!!!!!👍

My goodness me!! The talk we delivered about gait analysis at @RunFesttheseries, and that I blogged on last week, has gone down even better than I thought! We have been absolutely snowed under with bookings for gait analysis by those who attended the evening! However, I cant really bring myself to do another blog about gait, because something is much, much more pressing...... The question of 'what on earth is wrong with me🤨 ?!' I mean the idea to do the Dart 10k swim was

    Upright or uptight?

One of the most frequent things we blog about here at The Reinge Clinic is posture; but let's put some bones (no pun intended) on that. This week I had an extremely common occurrence whilst treating a client with all manner of neck pain, back pain, and headaches. I could see how far her posture was out so took a photo of it so she could see it too. Her immediate response, as an ex gymnast and a dancer was that it actually looked pretty good to her. Now, this is where I want

    Go away back pain! 😕

One of the most common things we see at The Reinge Clinic is back pain. This is also one of the main reasons people have time off work, so it is worth avoiding! If you are self employed, with a physical job, it is even more important to avoid back pain that may stop you being able to work. So why do so many people get back pain? 🤔 Well simply put it is all about posture. Posture is a buzz word these days, but what exactly does it mean and why is it so important. Our bodies

    Dental Appointment?

In our previous blog we looked at when to seek help with injury and pain. In this blog we consider the concept of prevention rather than cure 🤗. After several decades of treating injuries, very few of which are as the direct result of an accident, I find it incredibly frustrating 😤 when somebody presents with an issue it is, on nearly every occasion, the result of something that started out as a small niggle, months or even years ago. But, what if we could avoid all these n

    Know your onions!

This week I found myself explaining to a client how, what had started out as an easy to clear up injury, had become a lengthy and difficult nightmare of compensation on top of compensation on top of compensation. "Layers of an onion" as we often phrase it. In particular, I explained that had it been treated much earlier those layers would never have built up. This is a conversation we have at The Reinge Clinic far too often. So, how do you know when you need to seek help with

    Analyze That!

As any one following us will know we moved into new premises this week and Sid the Skeleton despite concerns during the move about limb loss, dust and road safety, is really rather happy with his new home.......... and so was I 😁 Of course, you would expect me to be happy, I mean we now have air con, but I have another reason to be particularly happy.........I have done three cycling analysis' this week and I have discovered I can fit a bike on the Turbo Trainer and film the

    Achilles Heal!

Ok, following the previous blog dealing with the terms 'itis' and 'pathy' I promised I would take a look at Achilles tendon issues this time around, so here goes. 😀 When people come to see us at The Reinge Clinic with Achilles issues they will usually have been diagnosed with one of two things: Achiles Tendonitis or Achilles Tendonosis. Many of or clients are either confused by the term or have been led to believe they are the same thing. It is important to be aware these ar
