Our Running Analysis Leamington Spa sessions are meticulously designed to evaluate all areas of your running.  Within a 90-minute session, our specialist therapists will consider all areas of your running, from your posture to your shoes and your stride style. 

During the 90 minute session our specialists commence with an in depth assessment of your posture and joints. Once completed we continue to take a look at your running style. Utilising video technology, we capture your natural running form in the real world rather than on a treadmill. This is due to the forces working in a very different way on the road to on a treadmill. 

This allows us to slow movements down enabling us to see how your body responds when your foot hits the ground. We look at your whole body from the very soles of your feet up through your shoulders and into your head.

By combining our video analysis, with the postural analysis and your personal history we are able to enhance your running style. Our objectives are clear, we aim to elevate the efficiency of your running, helping to improve  your race times. At the same time we aim to rectify any existing running injuries whilst safeguarding against future ones.

When you book in, with a running injury, our Leamington Spa specialist therapists commence by giving a through assessment of the affected joint or muscle. We will often test muscle firing patterns or measure the circumference of your  legs to understand any imbalances in load distribution across your body.

Often, clients find this phase of our assessment eye opening, as self perception often differs with the reality found on the video footage.

To ensure we solve your running injury, we create you with a bespoke strengthening program and help you in altering your gait to address the core of your running injury. Our aim is to ensure we get to the root causes of your running pain to ensure your issue doesn’t return weeks or months down the line.

Frequently Asked Questions about Running Analysis Leamington Spa

Please bring all your shoes, many runners have several pairs and we may need to see you run in all of them. 

Please also bring whatever you usually run in, and ideally a pair of short shorts so we can assess the whole lower body.

Our initial session is 90 minutes long.

This allows us enough time to assess you fully, including doing a video analysis. 

Unlike many of our competitors our follow up running analysis appointments are 50 minutes long allowing us re video you to ensure the changes made are having the desired effect.

We get you to run in the real world rather than on a treadmill. The mechanics of running on a treadmill are very different to running in the real world. Most people run out in the real world, so this is where we assess you.

We aren’t running coaches, but we are Sports Scientists. We have been trained to look at the way the body works, understand the forces involved and how the muscles deal with those forces. 

In their younger days, Ian used to be a triathlete and Gina a runner for Coventry Godivas Running Club so we have a very real understanding of running and running injuries.

Gina is a member of BASES (British Association of Sport and Exercise Scientists) ensuring they stay up to date with the latest research.
